CHEF CRISTIAN ORTIZ

A San Diego native, Cristian learned how to cook from his mother and fell in love with working in the kitchen. After graduating from culinary school, he lived in Barcelona for nearly two years, where he worked at legendary chef Albert Adria's Tickets (1 Michelin Star) and Enoteca de Paco Perez (2 Michelin Stars). Upon moving to New York, Cristian proceeded to work as a pastry chef at esteemed restaurants Mercado Little Spain, Cosme, and Faro. He is currently a pastry sous chef for Atla. Cristian was also a winner of Season 3 of Food Network's Chopped Sweets.
